The Role:

In this key role, you will oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of our client’s network and associated infrastructure, managing corporate servers, storage, patching platforms, and Active Domain. Leading a dedicated IT team, you’ll ensure the delivery of internal and outsourced IT services, implementing standard operating procedures and enhancing monitoring activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and develop artifacts reflecting current operating environments for networks, storage, servers, patching services, and management platforms.
  • Formulate strategies with senior management, prioritizing technology projects and overseeing the assessment, implementation, and administration of current and upcoming technologies.
  • Facilitate change management for new procedures, policies, and standards, ensuring efficient execution of new hardware and software technologies.
  • Contribute to strategies related to industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Recommend short- and long-term plans for infrastructure availability, capacity, and IT service continuity.
  • Collaborate with the procurement department to implement a service-based infrastructure.
  • Supervise the selection and integration of monitoring solutions to identify issues and trends.
  • Ensure effective execution of major infrastructure projects, monitoring costs, timescales, and resources.
  • Lead and manage a team through objective setting, feedback, coaching, and performance appraisals.
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans for systems and equipment.

Scope of Responsibility:

  • Accountable for internal system availability and responsiveness.
  • Ensure adherence to access policies for corporate systems and data.
  • Monitor and report service levels.
  • Review/prepare service agreements and contracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Maintain continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the management of both operating and capital budget input.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience managing technological operations.
  • 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience in a customer-focused IT operations environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of technology environments, including telecommunications, network infrastructure, operating systems, data communications, storage array technologies, virtual operating environments, and cloud services.
