  2. Configuration and Deployment:

    • Configure and deploy Palo Alto Networks NGFW devices according to the established migration plan.
    • Migrate existing firewall configurations, rulesets, and access control policies from Cisco ASA and Fortigate to Palo Alto Networks NGFW platforms.
    • Conduct thorough testing and validation of firewall configurations to ensure compliance with security requirements and operational standards.
  3. VPN Migration Management:

    • Lead the migration of 3000 VPN users from FortiClient to Prisma VPN by Palo Alto Networks.
    • Coordinate with endpoint management teams to deploy and configure Prisma VPN clients on user devices, ensuring seamless connectivity and user experience.
    • Provide user support, training, and documentation to facilitate the transition to the new VPN solution.
  4. Network Security Optimization:

    • Identify opportunities for enhancing network security posture and threat prevention capabilities using Palo Alto Networks NGFW features such as threat intelligence, intrusion prevention, and application control.
    • Collaborate with security teams to implement advanced security policies and controls to protect against emerging threats and vulnerabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering roles with a focus on firewall administration and migration projects.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Fortigate, and Palo Alto Networks NGFW platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
  • Experience with VPN technologies, including Forticlient, Prisma VPN, IPsec, SSL/TLS VPNs, and remote access VPN solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network and security issues.
  • Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
