The Tax Analyst will report to the Director, Tax and assist with all corporate tax compliance, tax
accounting, US sales & use tax, transfer pricing, withholding taxes and corporate tax audits.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
· Support our consultants with the preparation of all Corporate income tax returns of Groupe
Solotech Inc. entities;
· Assist with the income tax provision for all Groupe Solotech Inc. entities and work with
auditors for year-end audit requests;
· Contribute to the management of all domestic and international corporate tax audits;
· Prepare and maintain all corporate tax accounts and reconciliations;
· Work closely with HR and the payroll department to assist in preparation the information
returns for non-residents withholding tax;
· Prepare and submit sales tax reports for Canadian and U.S. entities
· Provide tax technical assistance and ensure compliance with the domestic and international
tax laws and regulations;
· Support with transfer pricing calculations;
· Participate to various projects with the rest of the Finance team, including transfer pricing,
acquisitions, tax structures;
REQUIREMENTS
Level of education: Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax; CPA certification is an asset.
Work experience: 3 + years of tax experience including US and international tax;
Requested skills:
· Knowledge of US tax in a global company;
· Practical experience using tax databases, and internet-based applications to identify issues, facts,
laws, and tax consequences of various business transactions;
· Excellent research and analytical skills;
· Planning and organizational skills, ability to coordinate workload around multiple assignments;
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills (Fr/En);
· Excellent summarizing and presentation skills;
· Knowledge of Microsoft D365 (an asset);
· Knowledge with PowerBi (an asset);
· Practical experience using Microsoft Office suite;
· Very Proficient using Excel spreadsheets including formulas and pivot tables;
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipswith co-workers, other business areas, governmental agencies; and consulting firms.
