SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

The Client:

Our client is an industry leader and one of the largest proprietors, operators, investors, and developers of top-tier office, retail, multi-family residential, industrial, and mixed-use properties in North America.

The Role:

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining technical designs and architectural artifacts for our client’s business solutions. Your focus is on ensuring alignment with corporate and industry technical and security best practices. This involves collaborating with Business Solutions Analysts and Product Owners to comprehend solution requirements, identify risks, and establish appropriate architectural patterns.

Throughout the build and deployment phases, you will engage with developers and configuration specialists to ensure adherence to agreed-upon technical designs and standards. A key aspect of your role is to possess knowledge of the organization’s business capabilities and processes while understanding the overall business and technology strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Solutions Analysts and Product Owners to grasp solution requirements, identify risks, and define architectural patterns.
  • Develop technical designs that effectively address business needs, encompassing system integrations, business intelligence solutions, and mobile applications.
  • Create and maintain reference documentation for development teams.
  • Provide assistance to development teams when necessary.
  • Lead and conduct technical design sessions, fostering collaboration with team members and external vendors.
  • Ensure technical designs align with long-term strategies and integrate seamlessly with the organization’s business objectives.
  • Guarantee that business solutions adhere to information access security policies and architectural standards.
  • Offer guidance to other IT team members during solution development and implementation.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, recommending new patterns, frameworks, and technologies as needed.

Requirements for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 3 years in application software development + a minimum of 3 years in architecting and designing business solutions.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology.
  • Excellent knowledge of architectural design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience in building large distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with major Cloud providers’ infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Profound understanding of solution development lifecycle concepts.
  • Good knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS concepts.
