Senior Front-End Developer

About Us
We’re a growing organization that delivers marketing-oriented digital work for clients across North America and beyond. We rely on evolving technology and adaptability to stay ahead in a competitive space.

What This Role Entails
We’re seeking a front-end lead who’ll help shape the web side of our creative and service offerings. You’ll be part of a team that handles site builds, campaign-driven web work, and general platform development. You’ll oversee tasks that may involve different CMSs, frameworks, template work, performance tuning, and front-end innovation. The environment is fast, the priorities shift, and there’s room to make things better.

You’ll Likely Be Doing Things Like

  • Leading or coordinating a small team or group of developers to define how we do front-end work.

  • Helping others grow by reviewing work, offering feedback, and coaching.

  • Working across design, project delivery, and other stakeholders to produce user-facing experiences with a focus on effectiveness and impact.

  • Troubleshooting web performance, layout, compatibility, or technical hurdles.

  • Estimating what new work, or changes, might take, in time or effort.

  • Continuously adapting and improving templates, workflows, tools.

  • Building, maintaining, or supporting work across different kinds of websites or web technologies.

As a Senior Person in the Team

  • Contribute to setting direction for technical standards and practices.

  • Participate in defining how we work: the tools, systems, and processes.

  • Ensure quality through reviews, oversight, and collaboration.

  • Help with integrating design and branding consistency.

  • Be involved in support, operations, and any external partnerships if needed.

  • Aid in onboarding and training newer team members.

  • Help produce or maintain documentation, instructions, or guidelines.

What We’ll Expect from You

  • You handle ambiguity well, shifting priorities, and overlapping responsibilities.

  • Strong front-end skills (you’ve done a range of website builds and adaptations).

  • You’re comfortable discussing technical ideas with others who may not be technical.

  • You have good judgement about user experience, messaging, layout, and visual coherence.

  • You care about quality, efficiency, and clean work.

  • Able to juggle multiple pieces at once and deliver things in a timely way.

  • You enjoy working in a dynamic, growing environment — one that sometimes feels chaotic but offers chances to influence and improve.

Years & Skills (Guidelines, Not Strict Requirements)

  • Several years of front-end development experience, including work on various site types or platforms.

  • Some experience leading or guiding others on web development tasks.

  • Solid familiarity with contemporary front-end languages, tools, and responsive design.

  • Experience with templating, CMS, or similar environments (we use a few).

  • Bonus if you’ve worked with design tools, theme or template customization, or with external collaborators.
