Job Description:
Seeking Sr. Engineering Manager with over 10+ years of experience who must thrive in a technical leadership role and naturally be collaborative & transparent team member. Resource will lead/partner with a highly versatile team of software engineers with the key partnership of product owner and architects. Resource will drive the technology product group level design and be able to articulate solution options to the senior leadership. The Resource’s design specialization must have a strong emphasis on proven design patterns, trade-offs and evolutionary incremental changes that leads to north star product vision.
Responsibilities for this position include:

Lead, mentor, and grow a high performing engineering team, fostering collaboration and innovation while aligning individual goals with organizational effectiveness.

Drive the technical vision, roadmap in conjunction with PGTL/PGO/Architect, and execution of software development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Guide the team in tackling unclear or evolving requirements by fostering adaptability, innovative design thinking, and proactive problem-solving.

Align application roadmaps with enterprise goals; identify modernization and cost optimization opportunities

Lead Agile teams, manage sprints and releases, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Able to perform resource management and conflict management diligently.

Track budgets, forecasts, resource allocation, and vendor contracts.

Ensure audit readiness and compliance with security, regulatory, and DR/OSFI standards

Ensure SLAs are met, oversee incident resolution, and maintain production health via monitoring tools.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will:

Strategic planning and tech roadmap alignment Agile delivery, sprint/release management budgeting, resource planning, and vendor oversight

Have a strong technology background as full stack (Java primarily) developer with the exceptional experience building large scale enterprise

Excellent Database knowledge and hands on experience managing a large RDBMS and LDAP solutions

Excellent real world implementation experience in Event Streaming using Kafka. Strong understanding of Azure public cloud design and implementation.

Act with ownership culture to drive meaningful change that aligns with the overall enterprise product vision. Mentor entry level developers within and outside of the team. Be an active player in PoC and Solution Design Thinking

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate complex technical issues into clear, business-focused language for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

Effective in coaching, mentoring, and developing junior staff and peers in both technical and soft skill areas.

Strong ability to lead diverse, cross-functional teams across geographies and time zones, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and shared ownership.

Experience engaging with internal and external auditors, responding to security findings, developing remediation plans, and ensuring timely closure of issues.

Understanding of enterprise security controls, including data encryption and? access management
