Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer
The Senior Quality Engineer role is a leadership position responsible for developing and implementing new or updated application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. The main goal of this role is to oversee and guide application systems analysis and development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various management teams to ensure seamless integration of functions to meet objectives, while identifying necessary system improvements to launch new products and enhance processes.
- Resolve complex, high-impact problems and projects by thoroughly evaluating business processes, system workflows, and industry best practices.
- Provide expert knowledge in application programming, ensuring that system designs align with the broader architectural framework.
- Leverage deep understanding of system workflows to create standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementing applications.
- Gain a thorough understanding of how different business areas, such as architecture and infrastructure, work together to achieve organizational goals.
- Conduct detailed analysis and apply innovative thinking to identify issues and develop creative solutions.
- Mentor and guide mid-level developers and analysts, distributing work as needed.
- Assess and manage risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, and fostering ethical behavior and business practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (6-10 years) in Quality Engineering or Software Testing roles, with a strong focus on automation.
- Proficiency in Java scripting for creating and maintaining automated tests.
- Strong experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium for automated web application testing.
- Expertise in API Testing (REST, SOAP) and the use of tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
- Experience with Automated Testing integrated into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly report test results
- Banking experience strongly preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
