Position Title: QA Analyst
Position Type: Contract (6 months)
Location: Downtown Toronto office
Travel: Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Business Analysts to understand business requirements to create, prioritize and execute test plans
- Develops, maintains and updates manual/automated test scripts, utilities, data sets and other tools required to execute test plans
- Produces QA documentation artifacts and ensures appropriate processes are followed
- Produces bug reports, analyzes impact and collaborates effectively with Development Leads on estimated development efforts
- Produces schedules and puts forward recommendations to resolve outstanding bugs in a most effective, logical fashion
- Investigates bug reports from end users and write clear instructions to aid the development team in determining the root cause
Requirements:
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team setting
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills: document and report on defects, schedules, test execution recommendations
- Experienced with both Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies
- Solid experience with Broadridge platform
- Ability to execute and understand complicated queries, stored procedures, triggers and functions
