As our Payroll Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Accounting and Finance team at Jarvis, being a key contributor to our sustained growth and success.
Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, organize and manage full-cycle payroll processing

Process day-to-day payroll activities and produce bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees

Review payroll processing for accuracy, identify discrepancies, make corrections, and resolve problems as necessary

Prepare and remit payroll-related reports, manage reconciliations and compliance

Provide effective communication with employees to resolve incoming payroll queries

Review and audit monthly payroll reports, complete year-end process and file all applicable tax year-end filings

Payroll management and liaising with HR and other teams.

Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, receivable and general ledger entries, and collaborate with the finance team during audits and ensure the timely processing of invoices and payments

Maintain and reconcile financial records and ensure accuracy in all financial data

Provide coverage as needed for other members of the Accounting and Finance team.

Contribute to the development of accounting and finance team process improvements, including research and documentation.

Must-haves:

Minimum two years of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).

Understanding of payroll principles, practices, regulations and procedures

Demonstrated experience in providing world-class service to clients and stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, proactively take ownership of team projects and strong research and decision-making capabilities.

Accounting experience will be an asset.
Nice-to-haves:
-
University degree in accounting, business or similar preferred.

Experience in staffing or similar high-volume industry as this role includes management of 200+ consultants (contractors and employees) including timesheet and related payments/invoicing management, and working with and oversight of large data sets.

Knowledge of cloud accounting systems (our tech stack includes Xero, Plooto, Float, Dext, Veem and Payworks) and advanced working knowledge of Excel.

Exposure to data analytics, such as Python, BI tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
