Network & Systems Administrator
Hybrid, Toronto, Ontario

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is seeking a Full-Time Network and Systems Administrator based in the Greater Toronto Area. You'll play a critical role in building and maintaining a robust and secure network and systems infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation for their 30+ sites across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to a company with a shared passion for environmental stewardship.

What You'll Do

  • Manage hybrid Active Directory/Entra ID and migrate the remaining servers and applications to the cloud.
  • Deploy, configure, update, and troubleshoot a wide variety of on-premise and cloud-based systems, including Windows Servers, VDI, Microsoft 365 and other local and cloud-based software.
  • Set up and maintain firewalls, switches, and access points and manage the VOIP phone system.
  • Support the helpdesk with advanced remote troubleshooting for Canadian and US locations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external IT providers to ensure a highly functional and secure infrastructure.
  • Provide in-person desktop support to the Toronto office when required
  • Travel to various Canadian and US locations as needed, with scheduled on-call availability for up to 14 days a month.

WORK STATUS: Full-time, Salaried

Location: Hybrid, in-office 3 days/week in Mississauga, Ontario, near the airport.

What YOU bring to the table
You're a service-driven, highly proficient and experienced IT professional with a minimum of five years of experience supporting IT and providing high-level customer service.
 

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Microsoft and Network certifications (MCSE/Azure Administrator, Cisco/Fortinet, or equivalent).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and the entire Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of various hardware and operating systems (Server 2022, Windows 10/11, iOS, Android).
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel.
  • A professional communicator who can provide training and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic cloud environment.
