Are you passionate about people and curious about the world of HR? Join our People Operations team as a People Operations Intern and gain real-world experience across the full employee lifecycle – from onboarding and engagement to compliance, data, and beyond. This role is designed to offer you meaningful exposure to the HR function while allowing you to roll up your sleeves and contribute to real projects. You’ll be embedded in our People Operations team and work alongside experienced professionals who are committed to supporting your growth and learning. 

What You’ll Learn and Do 

Support & Exposure Across Core HR Areas 

  • Assist with onboarding logistics, Day 1 coordination, and employee welcome initiatives 

  • Learn the basics of our HRIS systems and support with data entry, audits, and process improvements 

  • Contribute to employee engagement projects (e.g., internal events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives) 

  • Help draft internal communications and team-wide announcements 

  • Participate in People team meetings and help document workflows and best practices 

  • Shadow and support activities related to performance, talent, and learning initiatives 

  • Assist with survey administration and data collection for engagement and feedback cycles 

  • Contribute to People-related research projects and help identify trends and opportunities for improvement 

Hands-On Project Work 

  • Support the planning and execution of Fall people programs and events 

  • Collaborate with team members on projects related to process documentation, DEI, and employee engagement 

  • Create templates, toolkits, and resources for new hires and team managers 

Stretch Opportunities (Based on Interest & Capacity) 

  • Gain insight into recruitment coordination and talent experience 

  • Sit in on cross-functional project meetings and contribute your voice 

  • Explore how HR policy, compliance, and people data work together 

What You Bring 

  • You’re currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a similar field 

  • You’re curious, proactive, and excited to learn about the inner workings of a People/HR team 

  • You have strong organizational and communication skills and enjoy being part of a collaborative environment 

  • You’re comfortable using (or learning) tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HR platforms 

  • You bring a people-first mindset and a high level of integrity when working with confidential information
