GUIDEWIRE BUSINESS ANALYST (BA/FUNCTIONAL ANALYST)

End Client: Established Canadian Insurance agency
Project: Guidewire (Cloud) Implementation for Auto Claims Management (ClaimCenter)
Project Status: Underway
Project/Program Duration: Until 2024
Anticipated Start Date for Delivery Phase: Mid to late October, 2022
Contract: 6 months + (extension anticipated, up to 2 years)
Location: Fully remote within Canada (must be based in Canada for contract duration)
Our client represents a leading insurance provider in Canada, and they are seeking an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst, preferably with a specialty in ClaimsCenter Implementation of Guidewire Cloud.
Candidates must possess strong collaboration and communication skills as well as experience in this space, as they will work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements are translated into specific solutions, and bring forward actionable insights that deliver meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
The Guidewire Business Analyst will be a part of the Delivery organization. In addition to being responsible for business analyses, the Business Analyst works directly with the project team and clients gathering requirements to analyze, design and/or implement technology best practice business changes. They work with senior members of the team to ensure the successful delivery of insurance platform implementations.
Role Details

Working closely with the client’s key stakeholders in performing business analysis functions

Fast-paced, cross-functional Agile (Scrum/SAFe) work environment

Lead requirements for Guidewire ClaimCenter, Integration and Conversion functions

Work with client SME to elicit business and technical requirements
-
Conduct and facilitate workshops/JAD sessions with key client stakeholders
-
Perform integration testing to test the flow of claims data

Create test scripts and coordinate testing for various critical functionalities, prepare test data, defect triage and resolve blockers

Document requirements specifications for data analysis, data mappings for Guidewire, third party integrations and transformation

Develop functional specifications in the form of User Stories, process flows, use cases, data mappings leveraging tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Rally

Conduct user story/sprint demonstrations at the end of sprint/release

Participate in agile sprint ceremonies, daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospective sessions

Conduct end user training by means of workshops, training guides and operation manuals

Work with Requirements Manger, Scrum Master and Program Manager for various project activities
Role Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in Guidewire InsuranceSuite (Guidewire Cloud preferred, or v. 10)

Detailed knowledge of Guidewire applications specifically in ClaimCenter

Excellent domain knowledge on Property and Casualty Insurance to understand and analyze the business needs of the customer

Experience in data analysis & data mapping for Guidewire and third-party integrations

Experience in writing functional specification, business analysis, business process analysis, and solution analysis

Expertise in creating functional specifications in the form of user stories, process flows, use cases, and data mapping

Experience in gathering, defining, and organizing business and functional requirements including acceptance criteria for use by developers

Experience using management tools such as Confluence, Jira or Rally

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
