Business Systems Analyst (Upgrade Path)

As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) spearheading our applications and platforms refresh initiative, you will play a pivotal role in fortifying the resilience of our banking systems. This strategic project involves upgrading operating systems and databases, with a primary focus on enhancing system robustness and ensuring compatibility with existing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the upgrade of operating systems and databases across various platforms.
- Ensure a systematic and phased approach to minimize disruption while maximizing system resilience.
System Resilience Enhancement:
- Evaluate current systems and identify opportunities to enhance their resilience, addressing vulnerabilities and implementing best practices for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Leverage your understanding of software engineering concepts to orchestrate seamless database upgrades, including the migration of tables and integration services.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to execute upgrades and ensure the integrity of data and system functionalities.
- Analyze the compatibility of existing applications with the upgraded platforms, mitigating any potential issues and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Engage with technology teams to identify and resolve compatibility challenges, maintaining the efficiency of critical banking applications.
Risk Analysis and Mitigation:
- Conduct thorough impact analysis to identify potential risks associated with the upgrade and refresh process.
- Work proactively to mitigate risks, developing contingency plans and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a resilient and secure environment.
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a focus on system upgrades and refresh initiatives.
- Solid understanding of software engineering concepts and database upgrades.
- Experience with upgrading operating systems, databases (including SQL), and managing platform compatibility.
- Ability to analyze and understand the intricacies of existing reporting tools and their dependencies.
